Wild Canada - A great FREE app that was suggested by David! It takes you on a tour of Canada and gives you information about the animals and plants you will find. (Science - Habitats)
WWF - A wonderful FREE App that provides information about some endangered species. (Science - Habitats)
Build a Body- A free app that lets you build different body systems. A great way to practice the digestive system and skeletal system!
NFB StopMo - $2.99 A stop motion app that is easy to use and loaded with great features! Create your own movies in minutes!
iMovie - A free app on new iPads, but not free on older ones. It is great for quick movies and has lots of built in themes.
Prime Radicals Pentominoes - A FREE app by Canadian Teachers! It has good game play for single and multi-player and build upon special skills. (Math - 2D Geometry)
Lightbot - There is a lite version which is free and a paid version for $2.99. It is a great beginning programming app. Lots of fun and challenging for kids!
Explain Everything - $2.99 App that allows you to put together very nice presentations using your own images and movies. Well worth it!
Bobo & Light - $4.99 App that explores Light. It is very fun for the kids and has great information. A little pricy, but a very well put together app. (Science - Light)
iBooks - a FREE app that allows you to download and read books. Not all books are free, but there is a good selection of free ones. If you have a Mac computer, you can even make your own books!
Pages - A free app on new iPads, but not free on older ones. It is a great word processer and really great for posters, flyers and brochures with built in themes.
Geo Boards - a FREE app that gives you the joys of the geo board without the headache of the elastics! (Math - 2D Geometry)
